You may not create or use more than one account, and you may not share your account or any of the Services with others violation to this may lead to your account suspended or ban. A parent or guardian may create an account for the benefit of a minor. All information you provide to create an account must be accurate and complete. You may not impersonate any other person or use a name that is not your own. It is your responsibility to update your account information to keep it current and accurate.

When you set up an account, you must also choose a password. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password, and for any and all use of your account. You agree not to use the account, username, or password of another user at any time, nor to disclose your password to any third party. You agree you will not sell or share or otherwise transfer your membership or any membership rights. You agree to notify Tutionpool immediately if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account or access to your password. How warnings work

How suspension works

Suspensions are taken extremely seriously by the Tutionpool Team. If you’ve been suspended, you will no longer be able bid on any more questions. You can finish answering and collect payment for any remaining active questions, but will no longer be able to bid on more questions.

Tutionpool allows you to appeal your case, which is a onetime opportunity to present your case and explain why your actions should not result in an account suspension.

If the appeal is successful, your account will be activated. If the appeal is denied, your account is banned indefinitely. The appeal process takes between 1 business days.

How bans work

Bans are permanent suspensions, and are given to tutors who don’t meet the expectations of the platform. Typically, bans are given to new tutors who prove to not be a good fit, or established tutors who have committed repeat offenses.

If banned, your remaining tutor balance may be withheld to cover liability cost for dissatisfied students and damage done to the platform’s reputation.

Withheld Payments

Tutionpool has full responsibility to withhold and cancel payments if any of our terms are violated. We internally monitor student and tutor behavior by reviewing communications, and transaction sources the following actions would be considered a violation of our terms:

Fraud

  1. a) Using stolen credit cards to pay for questions.
  2. b) Excessive charge back requests from your students.

Abuse of the platform:

  • Plagiarism above 10%
  • If you are acting as the student and the tutor to benefit yourself.
  • Low quality answers
  • If your question and answer do not follow the required guidelines.

* All responses, answers and help for a question must be provided on the question discussion page; and if help is not present on the page, it is assumed that you did not provide help.

Account banned without appeal for

  • Sharing links or personal emails for purposes other than posted questions.
  • Poaching students off the platform.

* Banned tutors will not get paid remaining balances.

Tutionpool may also send registered users that have submitted their email address a notice of the change to these Terms. Your continued use of the Services after such changes have been posted acknowledges your agreement to the new Terms. Therefore, you should check the Terms on the Services periodically for updates and changes.

WITHDRAWAL AND REFUND POLICY

Tutionpool has full responsibilities to determine whether for refunds for answers that a student reports as unsatisfactory. Our review team will look at your tutoring session closely and determine whether or not the tutor provided quality help. Have in mind that if the tutor has provided quality work, they are counting on the income and we need to be fair. If you are to withdraw a question, we need as much proof which will help us determine the case but on the other side we have full duties to ensure all the problem are resolved in the right manner by ensuring our moderation team make a decision towards approving the refund.

We will typically grant refunds to students for:

1) Lack of a complete answer to your question.

2) Unoriginal work with provided proof.

3) Abuse.

4) Excessive poor quality with provided proof.

5) Overdue answers.

  • All refunds are given as credit on your Tutionpool student profile.

ALL PAYMENTS ARE FINAL

Once an answer has been confirmed by a student, by reviewing a tutor, that payment is final. If you are not satisfied with the answer, you must immediately withdraw the question after the question’s deadline has passed. Once the answer is confirmed by the student, payments are then released to the tutor. If you confirm answer and decide later on that you are not satisfied, you will not receive a refund. In the future, please make sure you are satisfied before confirming the payment for an answer.
